Marriot Hotel Oxford
Following extensive design and consultation works for the Courtyard by Marriott project, Northern Refrigeration & Catering Equipment Ltd were awarded the project. We project managed the works on site from start to finish and provided fully detailed M&E drawings in plan and elevation format, provided extraction rates and ensured that M&E trades provided services to correct location at first fix. We then went over and above what was requested of us and provided UPVC wall cladding to all of the back of house kitchen areas when the main contractor was let down, which prevented the site being delayed and avoided the customer incurring any costs as well as lost time.
The extract canopies were provided and installed allowing ceilings and floors to follow. We then provided a second fix M&E, before delivering and installing all back of house items as well as equipment to front of house bar and servery area. The servery area included a custom made frost top unit for display of perishable items, which could also be used for ambient items when the refrigeration is not on.
The coffee machines for the front of house area were provided following our extensive machine review and selected by us to suit the number of guests and throughput required.
Once all items were installed, tested and commissioned everything was asset tagged and provided to our service department to ensure any maintenance that may be required is handled as quicly as possible with as little disruption to the hotel. Staff were fully trained on all items of equipment prior to site going operational.
We worked in partnership with the main contractor and the relevant trades, and used our longstanding relationship with quality equipment manufacturers such as Blue Seal Waldorf cooksuite, Celltherm coldrooms, Smeg dishwasher and Foster for refrigeration items. All of the bespoke made to measure fabrication such as extract canopy, dishwash area, servery pass unit and back bar items were provided by Norfabs Limited.
